I like the Graffiti Soft Glow, it would also be nice if you can put some background too…

Hello ma65p2004,
Thank you for your suggestion I re looked at the soft glow,
and maybe a wall back ground like brick or something
would accent the image well…

Jeez, dude, don’t be so formal (i bet the “dummies” book told you to be nice to people, but this is just a bit too much). It’s cool, I’m trying to design a header myself.
One more thing, how about putting some highlights and contrast. Remember the Mobil logo? (take a look here http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/1/10/Mobil.svg/200px-Mobil.svg.png)
See how they just use a simple font but then give the letter O a different color? That gives some contrast and highlight. Well, just something I learned along the way so I just want to share it with you. Put some contrast in your header, big vs small, lower case vs upper case, shadows, and don’t forget contrasting colors.
And, check out this website http://tutorialblog.org/free-vector-downloads/. It gives you some great header background (or, you can make some thing like that since you are like me, who does not want to copy someone else’s work)
Cheer
Sorry for the long comment.

Hello ma65p2004,
Sorry I came across “Formal” I was just being “Respectful”
I didn’t get the idea from the “WordPress~Book”
Thank you for sharing your great insight I’m still learning with
“Gimp” and I’m going to try out your idea with a background
& contrast & a header with just contrast…
P.S. I didn’t mind the long comment…

Your header looks better already. How about higher resolution?
Comment by ma65p2004 — May 25, 2008 #
Hello ma65p2004,
Just got done fixing the resolution!
just before I signed into my blog getting
ready to upload the photo with
the higher resolution…
P.s. I noticed it was looking jagged
when I was on my friends computer
so I fixed it and then I logged in
and saw your comment…

Some of them are a little too squished/ have too much noise

using “Gimp” I just bought
Photoshop Elements 6 yesterday
